Hello out there! While we’ve been offering self-publishing services for awhile, we decided that separating out the traditional arm of Insomnia Publishing and our self-publishing services would be a good thing to make clearer. There are a lot of predatory companies out there who try and convince authors that the only way to publish through their company is if they purchase editing and other packages first.
Insomnia is not that.
Our services division is designed for authors who are self-publishing or authors who are querying and want to edit their work to prepare for that and so on. Not a single author Insomnia has picked up has ever paid us for our services, and that’s not the angle we’re going for now.
That said, our editors both have been working for a decade in the industry now, and are really excited about helping authors move their books and visions forward. So we look forward to doing so for the foreseeable future!
